NEW YORK WATERWAYS
The wonderful photograph on our LESSONS landing page is by Rockaway based photographer Susannah Ray.
Another photo of us (shown here) is published in her excellent book featuring a series of water pass times through workers, sailors, swimmers, flora and fauna, beach goers, and adventurers... you may or may not recognize many local waterways in NYC; seen freshly through Susannah's lens.
Info to order the book is on her website, as well as a link to the full series of photographs. Click or tap the above image of her book to see more!

BEACON'S CLOSET
Lighten up! It's just fashion ;)
In 2018, we modeled with friends for Beacon's Closet.
A life aquatic adventure on Jamaica Bay shows some finds from one of our favorite stores to source upcycled and second hand clothing, and also some special locations you can only reach from the waterside! The Norfolk Oyster "Christina" and other vessels are available as prop rentals for film/tv/commercial photo shoots. See the complete editorials for Beacon's Closet by click/tapping each series. |

rockaway rebirth
June 10, 2016
This summer Rockaway Beach has some exciting new amenities to entice New Yorkers to visit. Tara headed to check out the newly completed stormproof boardwalk and stopped by Marina 59 to try out some new activities meant for fun in the sun. Four summers after Superstorm Sandy devastated the Rockaways, there is more to see and do now than ever before. So this summer hop on the A train and head to the Rockaway shore.
