We currently offer rentals of our Catalina 14.2 plus several canoes for anyone wanting to get out on the water to explore the secrets of eastern Jamaica Bay. The JoCo Marsh, various small coves, and secluded shorelines are an explorers paradise.

we are happy to provide a 1 hour refresher lesson to renters of our sailboats for only $50. Please let us know prior to renting if this is something you're interested in.

The Catalina 14.2 sport sailboat is oriented toward family and youth sailing. This semi-planing, centerboard sloop is rigged with roller furling to make setting the jib much easier. Waterproof forward locker to keep your belongings secure and dry. Mast float installed to prevent 180 degree capsize. Boat comes fully rigged and ready for you to sail.

Dubos Point Wildlife Sanctuary has a pretty little beach a short paddle from our marina. Further out is the JoCo Marsh; the bays largest salt marsh, with several calm meandering creeks that are perfect for paddling during mid to high tide. Or follow the shoreline eastward around Rockaway Community park and hook into Norton cove where you'll find some peculiar sites. Several other picturesque and secluded coves await a bit further eastward.

Ideal factors for canoeing are when the wind is less than 7 knots (8mph). However wind speed above 11 knots (13mph) will prove too challenging and we do not rent canoes at that point.
