A world class sailboat that blends traditional design with modern materials and sensibility for a highly seaworthy, comfortable and stoutly built vessel.
Originally designed and built by Charlie Ward in Norfolk, England, Neil Thompson is the current builder of the Norfolk range of boats in the UK.

The "Christina" sailboat is a Norfolk Oyster; a 17 feet gunter-rigged, centerboard sloop designed in the 1980s. Spruce spars, tanbark sails and lapstrake hull are a few of the boats standout features. The Bolebruch family were the second owners of Christina when they had the boat shipped from England to the USA in 2001.

Her internal layout is uncluttered and roomy; bench seating and small foredeck comfortably holds up to 4-6 adults and accompanying children, and dogs. Ample freeboard and deep bow make her immensely seaworthy and stable.
|
Large waterproof lockers forward for stowage. Twelve inch high bulwarks (side-walls) run the entire outline of boat, creating an extra secure interior. Airtight chambers under the benches and in the stern make for positive flotation in the unlikely event of flooding.
|
Perfectly suited for adventuring throughout inland waters, the Norfolk Oyster "Christina" is primarily used for lessons, sailing tours, and wildlife tours on Jamaica Bay, via Rockaway Beach NYC.
