End of 2024 Season Update

It's been an amazing season, actually the best yet!

We here at Sail Rockaway are eternally grateful for everyone's support and patronage.

Starting November 1st 2024, all current offerings will be unavailable until mid April of 2025.

If you're really fixing to get on the water during our off season, then please reach out to us via phone or email and we may be able to set you up on a canoe or kayak, but we cannot guarantee such. Mind you, all off-season offerings are extremely weather dependent and conditions must be ideal in order to be safe. We also rent wetsuits in case you need one.

So until next year, we wish you a great autumn and winter and the happiest of holidays.

BOAT RENTALS

We currently offer boat rentals
of our Catalina 14.2
to experienced sailors
plus canoes for anyone wanting
to get out on the water to explore
the secrets of eastern Jamaica Bay.

SUNSET TUESDAYS

A chill public social sail
and simply the most affordable way
to get sailing and see how amazing
the sunset looks
from upon the boat.

SECRET BEACH DAY

A bay side sandy and scenic beach
reachable by renting a canoe
from us, or we can drop you off
via motorboat with all your stuff
and pick up when you're ready

SAILING 101 CLINIC

Adult sailing classes offered
twice a month
2 consecutive days/
Saturday and Sunday

Ages 16 and older
For beginner sailors in small groups
Follow up with 2 free practice sails!

MONTHLY GIVEAWAYS

BIRDING SUNRISE TOUR

Designed around the high tide cycle
when it coincides with sunrise.

We set sail on this public tour
in the early morning
for the best chance to view and
photograph the bays birds.

PRACTICE WEDNESDAYS

PRACTICE and TOUR combined
An affordable weekly sail
with one of our captains.

Passengers are welcome to skipper
the boat under the guidance
of our captain
or just chill and enjoy the ride.

YOUTH SUMMER SAILING

The goal of Youth Summer Sailing
is to connect our future generations to the water
by teaching them sailing.

Through the practice of sailing, children can develop the skills
and confidence necessary for great journeys down the line.

Every day will be an adventure
as we set off to explore
the local waters while learning
and having fun.

 MOONRISE SAIL

Whether it's the dance of
the sun and moon,
the bioluminescent lifeforms glowing in the water
beside the boat, or the flickering Manhattan skyline in the distance,
sailing at night is an experience you're sure to remember.
