CAN WE BRING FOOD AND DRINKS ABOARD? Yes! You may bring any beverages and food you wish. Alcohol is fine, but we don't serve it. BYOB. There is a small grocery store with a deli right next to the marina if you'd like to provision before coming to sail. The grocery sells beer as well. DO YOU HAVE LIFE PRESERVERS ON THE BOAT? Yes! We have all different sizes ranging from infant to adult. If you'd like to wear one while on board let us know. WHEN ARE YOU OPEN FOR SAILS? Crack of dawn sunrise til nautical twilight, and sometimes night time! HOW MANY PASSENGERS CAN THE BOAT ACCOMMODATE? 6 passengers, plus the Captain (kids under 2 years old ride free) ARE YOU A CERTIFIED CAPTAIN? Yes! A USCG Captain will be onboard for all sails. We have a whole lotta info about each of us on a page somewhere on here! Ah ha, The Captains page, in the About section. WHERE DO I SHOW UP FOR A SAIL? We depart from Marina 59 in Far Rockaway, NYC. Check out details on our How To Get Here page. WHAT KIND OF SAILBOAT IS OUR TOUR GOING TO BE ON? The sailboat is either the 17 ft, Norfolk Oyster aka "Christina" or the Drascombe Lugger. Guess what! We have pages on here dedicated to details about these beauties. Find the About section and it'll lead you to their info. IS THERE A BATHROOM ON THE BOAT? The boats lack a "head", aka bathroom, so please use the marina's facilities before we depart. HOW EARLY CAN I ARRIVE FOR MY SAIL? 10-15 minutes ahead of departure is ideal. If you arrive more than 15 minutes ahead of departure than we may still be out on the water with guests. We have a fairly tight schedule in the summer months. IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE INSIDE THE BOATYARD? Yes. However, in the summer months, our lot can fill up on weekends. There are always open parking spots along beach channel drive or 58th street, need be. IS SWIMMING OKAY? Yes! Just let us know that you would like to swim and we can sail to a nice location for it. Bring your swim suit. We have some towels in case you forgot yours. DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM? No, you do not need to know how to swim.
