technique and water safety.
If you're committed to learning the art of sailing, this course is for you.
We fully the extend the breadth of our knowledge to making sure you develop the necessary skills and mindset for sailing on your own. Our devoted sailing instructors will attentively guide you to becoming a proficient sailor on boats under 20 feet. A broad range of relevant topics are discussed both shoreside and on the water. We are able to tap into the type of learner that you are; physical and mental, and make sure you get what you need to confidently enter the exhilarating realm of sailing. |

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
How to safely operate sailboats of 20 feet or less in near-coastal waters under moderate conditions. You will practice on both the Norfolk Oyster 17 and the Catalina 14.2 sailboats. We prepare you to sail on your own using our Catalina 14, which we allow students of this course to return and use for FREE!

Practice sails must be completed with fellow classmates, Sail Rockaway personnel, or an experienced sailor of your choice within 5 weeks after successfully completing the course; while your newfound skills are still fresh.
