In Rockaway Beach we are fortunate to have largely unobstructed views of the rising full moon. When the moon is full, it rises in the early evening, coinciding with the setting sun. Herein we have the opportunity to witness the synchronistic beauty of the setting sun and the rising full moon. Whether it's the dance of the sun and moon, the bioluminescent lifeforms glowing in the water beside the boat, or the flickering Manhattan skyline in the distance, sailing at night is an experience you're sure to remember. |

If you can't make one of our public full moon tours but are intrigued by the concept, we also offer night tours upon request. On July 4th, the entire span of the horizon is covered in distant firework displays; a nice visual treat, but the bioluminescence that thrives in the warm summer water alongside the boat is the real attraction. Note: we will allow rescheduling or cancellation without penalty if it's too cloudy to view the moonrise that night. For safety, we always operate with appropriate lights attached to our boat as to remain visible to other boats in the darkness. |
